Staged

In all my collage compositions I arrange objects in ways that are inspired by a particular story. Well, not always! There are times when I am reduced to a silent and patient spectator, placing objects together and waiting for the story to emerge. However, the ways I combine the various elements in my compositions are never random. I follow insights as I set the stage, so to speak, for a particular play. As I place the objects and move them around I allow the play to unfold and the plot to emerge. All my work is based on this interplay between the real and the imaginary. I become invisible in the process.
