Intriguing Compositions

Intriguing Compositions is the title most accurately reflecting the way I perceive Life. All my collage work since the year 2000 finds shelter under this umbrella title. The present works derived from pieces created within five years, from 2000 to 2005. The pieces, originally handcrafted using my φωτογραφίες - photographs in English, a large variety of papers and many other materials, were revisited and altered in 2012 as personal drawings and image editing software (compositing) inspired new creative explorations. Each composite image aspires to tell a story; each collage work entices us to perceive our personal experiences and the world around us with a sense of awe. This new perception raises our awareness to the beauty and depth found in, otherwise, mundane encounters and experiences. Eventually, this realization, could lead to more creative ways of leading our lives and encourage the same approach to those around us.
